Lidl US “groceries that give back” Campaign for 2023 Terms and Conditions

ABOUT LIDL
Lidl is an international grocery retailer chain that operates over 12,200 stores across Europe and the United States. Lidl US is headquartered in Arlington, VA. Lidl entered the US market in 2017 and employs over 5,000 people currently. Lidl has expanded to over 175 stores on the east coast. Lidl proudly operates 16 stores in the Atlanta Metro Area and is currently constructing a state-of-the-art distribution center in the Atlanta Metro Area. Our principles and values are based around top quality products at market leading value, keeping customer satisfaction as our highest priority.

ELLIGIBILITY
With the “groceries that give back” campaign (“Campaign”), Lidl is partnering with schools in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area for an 12-week “season” from September 13, 2023, to December 5, 2023. School community members can earn money for the school they select simply by shopping in any Lidl store in the Atlanta Metro Area. See map and list of Lidl’s Atlanta Metro Area stores below. Schools must be an accredited public school providing education for any combination of grades 9 through 12 (including post-graduate years) and located within an eight (8) mile radius of a Lidl store in the Atlanta, Georgia Metro Area.

HOW TO EARN POINTS AND DONATIONS
For schools to earn money, customers must register for a myLidl account, sign up for “groceries that give back” on this landing page and select (from the dropdown menu) the participating school they wish to support. Each time the customer shops at a Lidl store, the customer can earn points (and money) for their school simply by scanning their myLidl account information through the myLidl app or entering their phone number at check out. All purchases are eligible except for gift cards, lottery tickets, alcohol and money services. Orders placed through Lidl’s e-commerce partner Shipt ARE eligible for the Campaign, but the customer must link their myLidl account to their Shipt account prior to ordering. If the myLidl app is temporarily down, customers can still earn points for their schools. If the purchase isn’t added to their loyalty account, they should reach out to Lidl Customer Care through lidl.com/contact-us with a copy of their receipt.

SCHOOL GIVE BACK DONATIONS
Lidl will make a one-time donation per participating school at the end of the 12-week season. Each participating school can earn between $1,000, and up to a maximum of $50,000 by participating in the Campaign, depending on the number of points collected. For every $1 the school community spends in any of the 16 Lidl stores in the Atlanta Metro Area (see map below), they will earn 1 point for their school. Lidl has established 10 separate donation tiers starting at $1,000 and going all the way up to $50,000. Donations will not be pro-rated and school communities must reach a new tier to increase their donation. For example, if a school collects 99,999 points the donation will be $7,500, but if the school collects 100,000 points, then the donation will be $10,000.

The partner schools shall use the money from the Campaign to support any extracurricular activity(ies) they choose. This includes directing a representative body, such as a PTA or Booster Club, to spend the money on its behalf. Lidl shall provide these donations without further stipulations.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Lidl will provide weekly updates to the participating schools and highlight schools that have reached a new tier on the “progress board” section of this website. Lidl shall provide each participating school an accounting statement at the end of the season, and Lidl will provide a check payable to the school or school’s designee within 90 days of the conclusion of the season. The amount shown on the check shall be considered the correct amount unless the school, or the school’s designee, files a written objection within 30 days after the date on the check.

At any time, Lidl may, at its sole discretion, decide to discontinue, modify, extend, etc. the Campaign and/or these terms and conditions. By continuing to participate in the Campaign after any such modifications, the schools and customers agree to be bound by such modifications. Participating schools are encouraged to review the Terms and Conditions regularly. If, for any reason, a participating school wishes to discontinue participating in the Campaign, before the end of the season, the school may do so upon written notification (email is acceptable) to Lidl. Lidl shall pay the school pursuant to the highest tier of points that school achieved. The school shall forfeit all points above that tier.
